FAME FOR BUSHMANS KLOOF AND KORO LODGE - TOP 101 HOTELS OF THE WORLD
(UK TATLER TRAVEL GUIDE 2008)
Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Retreat ranks among the 101 finest hotels in the world - and that’s official - according to the prestigious Tatler 2008 Travel Guide which has jus been released in the United Kingdom.
Tatler calls Bushmans Kloof ‘the ultimate getaway’, and in addition to the listing of the main lodge, Koro Lodge, the luxurious new private villa in the heart of the Bushmans Kloof reserve, proudly stood its ground to receive its own independent listing as a ‘Privately Attached’ property, resulting in Bushmans Kloof being on the Top 101 hotels list - twice!
Bushmans Kloof is situated some 270km from Cape Town (South Africa). ‘Immense open plains, spectacular waterfalls, prehistoric rock formations – this is one of the most unspoiled areas of southern Africa’. Tatler further cites this magical reserve as ‘a green oasis at the foot of the Cederberg mountains, dramatically beautiful, blending into the landscape with thatched cottages and traditional farm buildings housing stylish lounges and dining areas and three infinity pools.’ Koro Lodge, the old farmhouse that has been transformed into a gorgeous villa on the reserve, is credited with ‘adding a fresh new kick to Bushmans Kloof ‘, that is ‘terrific for families and comes with its own guide, chef and hostess’.
The glossy Tatler Travel Guide is issued annually with the January edition of the UK Tatler magazine. It is an invaluable source of cutting-edge news from the world of travel, with topics ranging from festivals to hotel openings and exciting new developments at destinations across the globe. The travel guide celebrates hotels that are ‘individuals’, the ones that go beyond the call of duty, that are true to their roots, that are passionate about the countries they're in, and inspire that passion in others.
