BUSHMANS KLOOF, DELIGHTED WITH SUPER POWER GENERATOR!

Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Retreat at the foothills of the Cederberg in the Western Cape is commemorating their 10th anniversary this year. As a birthday gift to itself, the reserve has acquired a generator that is potent enough to support the electricity needs of the entire lodge in case of a power failure.

The new equipment was put to the test within days of its arrival during a power failure, and passed with flying colours. Lodge manager Fred Stow says the engine runs surprisingly quiet, with very little noise pollution affecting the tranquil experience you’ve come to expect at Bushmans Kloof.

MORE ABOUT BUSHMANS KLOOF

Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Retreat, located only 270km from Cape Town, is a conservation success story. It is a privately owned reserve, dedicated to the re-creation of a Western Cape sanctuary for indigenous flora, fauna and rock art, and the preservation and protection of indigenous wildlife. It is custodian to numerous rare or endangered species of birds and mammals, including one of the largest privately owned herds of the Cape mountain zebra, and the Clanwilliam yellow fish. This malaria-free reserve is also home to the ‘world’s largest open air art gallery’ of over 130 ancient San rock art sites. Evening nature drives, guided rock art walks and other exhilarating activities combined with specialised spa treatments, luxury accommodation and exquisite cuisine make this the perfect place to enrich the mind, restore the body, and soothe the soul.
