EXAMPLE OF A 4-DAY CONFERENCE PROGRAMME

Day One

14h00

Arrive at Bushmans Kloof.
Group is greeted on deck at the Manor House. Iced Rooibos Tea and sparkling wine to be served with warm hand towels.
All guests to be escorted to their rooms by rangers and guest services.
Sparkling Wine, 2 Peak Caps and 1 Bushmans Kloof Rock Art book in room on arrival.
Unpack, relax and freshen up in room.
Enjoy a swim in the cool, refreshing rock pools in front of the Lodge.

15h30

Afternoon High Tea where Spa Manager will liaise with guests regarding spa treatments. Tea is followed by an evening nature drive. Group to meet at a unique location for sundowner drinks.

19h30

Meet for drinks at River Boma, followed by dinner at Makana. (Weather permitting)

20h00

Chef’s Table with wine tasting presented by Peter Finlayson, Bouchard Finlayson Wine Estate Liqueurs and night caps to be served at River Boma after dinner. (Weather dependant)

Day Two

Meet at Reception and depart on a Rock Art excursion.
Bush breakfast at Kadoro (old shepherd’s cottage in the reserve).

Return to Lodge for Brunch - venue confirmed by ranger.

12h00

Conference for delegates.
All other guests at leisure.

14h00

Depart on guided one hour hike (optional).

15h30

Afternoon high tea is followed by an evening nature drive.

19h00

Rock Art presentation by Siyakha Mguni, resident archaeologist.

20h00

Dinner served on Homestead Terrace (weather depending).
We suggest a 3-course set menu followed by the screening of an appropriate DVD in the Homestead lounge.

Croquet match – Bushmans Kloof to supply prizes
Option: Ranger takes guests to test their skill in archery with both traditional Bushman bow and modern bows.

High Tea followed by evening nature drive.

19h30

Meet at the Homestead for pre-dinner drinks followed by dinner.
Lodge Staff to entertain the guests – drumming, gum boot dancing and singing.

Day Four

Meet at Reception and depart on a Rock Art excursion. Light bush breakfast to be served out in the reserve.

Brunch.
